Nicholas Smith has an extensive entrepreneurial background and joined Best Foot Forward to help expand the scope of the plain English information offered. He is currently and partner in Schafer Smith’s Atlanta, Georgia office. Nicholas comes from a family of entrepreneurs and worked in his family’s business while growing up. After college, Nicholas worked for a Fortune 500 company as an assistant buyer, returned to the family business, and ultimately decided to go to law school so that he could help other entrepreneurs and small businesses navigate legal issues.
After law school, Nicholas served as a staff law clerk to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and worked for a large litigation firm in Atlanta. However, he is an entrepreneur at heart and is now happily practicing in a small firm.
In addition to the practice of law, Nicholas started a small knitwear company that allows people to earn extra income by knitting at home. He is also in the nascent stages of creating a non-profit targeted at assisting people with name changes that will enable them to improve their economic opportunities.
